About the Role
We are supporting a leading financial services provider in their search for a Qualified Accountant to join their Financial Reporting Team for a 12-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a fast-growing organisation with global operations, offering valuable experience in financial reporting within the insurance industry.
Reporting to one of the Financial Reporting Managers, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timely delivery of financial data. The role involves working closely with finance and senior management teams to ensure compliance with accounting and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare internal, external, and regulatory financial reports.
- Support the monthly close process within agreed timelines, ensuring accuracy and quality in reporting.
- Work alongside the actuarial team to understand and rationalise financial results.
- Engage with management and regulators to explain financial performance.
- Participate in project work to enhance financial reporting processes.
What We Are Looking For:
- ACA or ACCA qualified (or very close to qualification).
- Experience in financial reporting and management accounting within the insurance industry.
- Strong Excel skills with the ability to analyse and present financial data effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet challenging deadlines.
