PROJECT MANAGEMENT OFFICE ANALYST
Are you an experienced PMO Analyst looking for an exciting new opportunity? We are currently recruiting on behalf of a client for a Project Management Office (PMO) Analyst to join their team. This role is focused on providing essential support to the change team, ensuring strong governance and control across projects and programmes in alignment with the project management framework.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will ideally have two years’ experience in a PMO, project coordinator, or project analyst role, with a strong understanding of project delivery frameworks, methodologies, and the end-to-end delivery lifecycle. A good grasp of project management tools and techniques within governance and assurance is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Programme and Project Managers in preparing project initiation documentation, setting up projects on management tools, identifying risks and dependencies, and establishing governance and reporting cycles.
- Manage and monitor Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies (RAID), ensuring key areas are escalated appropriately.
- Support the Change team in enhancing PMO capability and delivering departmental objectives.
- Collect and analyse project data to create dashboards, metrics, budget tracking reports, and steering reports, ensuring accurate and timely information for decision-making.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of PMO services, systems, processes, and templates for projects and programmes.
What We’re Looking For:
- Two years’ experience in a Project Office environment, with knowledge of best practices and methodologies.
- Relevant qualifications (or working towards) in Project Management or Programme Office, such as ISEB (Foundation), Prince2 (Foundation), or P30 (Foundation).
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail, including the ability to interpret and present data effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, to manage spreadsheet solutions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills with strong influencing and persuasion abilities.
