Our client, a global leader in ultra-low latency sports streaming, is looking for a Junior IT Support Technician. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals passionate about technology and sports, with an eagerness to learn and grow within the IT field. As part of the Master Control Room (MCR) team, you will help ensure smooth live event operations, monitoring incoming and outgoing video feeds for sports broadcasts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and support live video feeds from various global sports providers and client applications.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, escalating to senior team members when needed.
- Collaborate with the MCR team to ensure all systems are functioning correctly during live events.
- Liaise with third-party suppliers and vendors to ensure any technical issues are quickly resolved.
- Ensure video channels and feeds are routed accurately and effectively to the correct client channels.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of desktop applications and basic knowledge of web technologies.
- Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical issues in a clear and simple manner.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple tasks.
- Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as required.
- Access to your own transport.
Desirable:
- Interest in global sports and familiarity with shift work or Master Control Room (MCR) operations.
- Previous experience in a technical support role or a demonstrated aptitude for IT troubleshooting.
