We are seeking a detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our client’s team on a 14-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. This role is vital in supporting financial operations and reporting across multiple jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Audit Support: Assist with year-end audits for entities in the Isle of Man, Gibraltar, and Malta, including preparing schedules and key documentation.
- Financial Statements: Help prepare annual financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Revaluations & Allocations: Run monthly revaluations and cost split allocations across entities.
- Reporting: Prepare monthly profit and loss reports for individual entities and consolidated groups.
- Journal Entries: Post audit adjustment journals accurately.
- Reconciliations: Perform regular intercompany reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy.
- Data Collection: Gather and analyse data using systems like Navision, IBM Planning Analytics (TM1), and Pyramid.
What You Need to Succeed:
- Qualifications: Working towards or holding an accountancy qualification (e.g., CAT, Bookkeeper, Part-Qualified Accountant).
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of basic accountancy principles, such as double-entry bookkeeping and trial balance preparation.
- Experience: Previous experience in a finance role, with familiarity in using accounting software like Navision or similar systems.
- Skills: A sharp eye for detail and excellent organisational abilities.
