Our client is seeking a Credit Analyst to join their Structured Finance team. This role involves supporting the onboarding and monitoring of the Structured Finance Portfolio by assessing key financial and credit information to ensure it aligns with the bank's credit appetite. You will play a crucial role in evaluating new credit proposals and monitoring existing clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate credit data and financial statements to determine the risk involved in lending.
- Prepare reports and assessments based on the creditworthiness of clients and counterparties.
- Analyse financial statements, cash flow, and budget plans to assess loan book trends.
- Monitor and evaluate financial and non-financial covenants for existing clients.
- Approve onboarding and drawdown requests for Structured Finance clients.
- Maintain flexible relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide recommendations to the Credit Committee based on credit risk analysis.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in ad-hoc projects as needed.
Requirements:
- Experience in sanctioning credit facilities within banking or asset finance industries.
- Degree in finance or accounting, or equivalent qualification.
- Proven analytical skills in a credit role, with experience working in financial services.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, credit applications, and regulatory requirements (UK & IOM).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
- Highly numerate with proficiency in MS Office and meticulous attention to detail.
