Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive AML Officer to join their Operational Risk & Control team. This role focuses on maintaining and enhancing the organisation's AML/CFT control environment through quality assurance checks, client risk assessments, and supporting compliance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct quality assurance testing for the Client Risk Assessment and Trigger Event Review processes.
- Ensure compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements, reporting findings in structured written and verbal formats.
- Analyse trends from findings and provide expert support on Customer Risk Assessment and Trigger Event Review frameworks.
- Review and escalate AML/CFT breaches as necessary.
- Support the development and strengthening of AML knowledge across client services teams.
- Actively contribute to process updates and explore automation opportunities.
- Proactively engage with staff to address issues and implement solutions according to policies and procedures.
Skills and Attributes:
- Strong understanding of Client Risk Assessment and Trigger Event Review processes (desirable).
- Experience in AML/CFT compliance (desirable).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
